Christmas Tree Collection in Oakville, Burlington and Halton Region

Christmas tree collection in Oakville, Burlington and the surrounding Halton region will begin on Jaunary 11th in 2010.

In Oakville, Burlington and other Halton communities, the Christmas trees that are collected are turned into aromatic mulch. The mulch is used throughout the parks of the Halton region for gardens, paths and landscaping.

When placing your Christmas tree at the curb for recycling, please make sure to remove the tree bag, tinsel, wires, nails and all decorations.  Your tree should be placed at the curb by 7 am on your collection day.

In the above link, you can search by your address or by your area to find out the day that your Christmas tree will be collected on. When viewing the calendar, look for the Christmas tree icon for your collection day.

Christmas tree recycling is an excellent program that the cities of Burlington, Oakville and the communities of Halton region use  to keep this area magnificently green and beautiful.
