Halton Region Annual Rain Barrel Sale Starts Today!
Rain barrels will be for sale starting today and for the next three Saturdays in Oakville and the Halton Region.
If bought through retail, rain barrels may well cost over $200 however Halton Region offers them to residents for the low price of $36 each. Residents may buy only one rain barrel per household.
In 2009, Halton residents purchased approximately 6,200 rain barrels. These rain barrels had the potential to reduce water consumption in Halton by more than 1.2 million litres.
