Magical Moments at the Toronto Christmas Market 2012
There is a place, not far from home, where memories are made, lights twinkle day and night, songs and bells ring out across the cobblestones, glasses are raised in good cheer, traditional Christmas smells waft through the crisp lakeside air, children play and young and old from every nationality around the world can be found. Where is this place?
It's right here in Ontario, Canada in the Distillery Dristrict of Toronto. The Lowes Toronto Christmas Market is a place everyone should visit at least once each Christmas season. It is 'Everything Christmas' and then some.
Browsing for Antiques in the Shop.ca Store at the Toronto Christmas Market. I saw a wardrobe there I absolutely fell in love with!
A Gentle Giant guards the gate at the Toronto Christmas Market. Signposts point the way to Santa, the Beer Gardens and More!
Beautiful shops line the cobblestone alleyways with colourful gifts for one and all. There's something here for even the most difficult person to shop for on your list. If your list isn't finished yet, drop by the Toronto Christmas Market. Santa shops here!
You'll be in awe of the 45 foot live tree in the courtyard. Donated by Trees Ontario, it is a focal point and gathering place for kids big and small. When the sun has gone down, the tree glows with thousands of lights and glittering red balls.
What's a visit to an old-fashioned Christmas Market without a stop by the Beer Garden? The Toronto Christmas Market has cosy places where you can sit outside by a fire pit and share in a mug or two. Don't fancy beer? There's lots of mulled wine, whisky and apple cider too!
After a fun-filled day shopping and sightseeing, our toes were froze and the wind had picked up. We ducked in to this cosy cafe for a hot dinner and wonderful cup of tea.
Don't miss this year's Magical Moments at the Toronto Christmas Market!
