Mississauga and Peel Region Christmas Tree Collection

Mississauga and Peel region Christmas Tree Collection will take place during the week of January 11th in 2010.

Residents from Peel and Mississauga regions can place their Christmas tree at the curb for pick-up on their regular waste collection days that week.
Please remove all bags, decorations, tinsel, nails, string, wire and stands from the tree prior to placing them out.

Please note that Christmas trees stuck in snowbanks or frozen to the ground may NOT be picked up!

They may also be dropped off at one of Peel's five Community Recycling Centres , however if you choose this option, please be advised that a minimum $2 drop-off fee will apply.

Christmas trees are recycled into compost. The public can purchase the compost for use in enhancing their gardens and landscaping projects.

The Christmas tree collection and subsequent composting is an excellent program run by the Mississauga and Peel regions to keep our communities green and beautiful.

Jo,

Thanks for your note. I'm in Mississauga, so this is helpful.

Brian,

I didn't realize that you live in Mississauga...I'm moving to Oakville (presently live in Burlington) in two weeks.
