I just love waterfront property; that light house or horn is just perfect.
Hi Jo,
Bronte looks like a nice place to live. Everything I see tells me that Canada has a pretty good marking.
Great pictures! now I want seafood.........
Jo, I always love your photos....and it seems we both have a love of Lighthouses! There are so many here to see and explore.
Bronte sounds like a lovely place to live. And condos sound SO much easier then homes at the moment :) Good luck with the beautiful real estate in your areas.
Jo - Is the lighthouse in your photo a relative of Jenny's lighthouse or is it the same one from a different angle?
JO, that looks like such a peaceful and quaint place...thanks for the great photos....take care!
Hi Jo,
It's great that the price ranges are so diverse. Everyone should be able to enjoy being by the water.
Jo, my cousin lives in a penthouse condo on Marine Dr. She has a fabulous view out over the trees and lake towards Toronto. I've often envied her.
Jo,
It's a great spot. But, what about that restaurant? It just has to work on its food and service. It probably has the single best location in Oakville.
Brian
Tom,
We have quite a number of those kinds of lighthouses around here...they really stand out. We use them when we're looking for home base after a day or weekend away sailing.
Jo
Lynda,
Bronte is a lovely little village within the city of Oakville. We keep our boat in Bronte Outer Harbour Marina so it's like our summer home....where we live in the winter is just straight up the road from the marina about 10 minutes.
Jo
Dena,
We don't have any seafood in this waterbody as it's a freshwater lake....however when you're down by the water, you do get that urge for a fish and chip dinner.
Jo
Carole,
Condos suit a carefree lifestyle...a lot of very active people who like to travel own condos as do those who don't want to do yardwork and exterior maintenance. In addition, the safety factor can't be beat.
Jo
Marc,
Could be...although I'm not sure what Jenny's lighthouse is. The lighthouse in this picture is at Bronte Outer Harbour Marina, where we keep the boat in the summer (and winter too).
Jo
Kristin,
It's beautiful.....especially in the summer months. Very peaceful and like a world apart.
Jo
Pam,
I agree completely....there are condos near the water to suit almost every budget.
Jo
Janice,
Must be just gorgeous....Marine Drive is a lovely area.
Jo
Brian,
They do have the best location...in the summer they hold a lot of functions there.
Jo
Hi Jo-Anne,
Bronte Waterfront is gorgeous!!! The lighthouse reminds me of St. Joseph, Michigan's lighthouse, except that it's on the Lake Michigan side instead of Lake Ontario... ;>))
Jo
I have docked many times at Bronte and the proximity from our slip to restaurants, shopping and a great pub brings back many memories.
Looks like a good range of condos as well,
Ty
hi Ann-Marie,
I've never been to St. Joseph, but it sounds like a lovely place....I think these kinds of lighthouses are pretty standard now; I've seen them in numerous places around the great lakes.
Jo
hi Ty,
What kind of boat did you have? Do you still boat in the London area?
Jo
