Free Christmas Dinners in Burlington, Ontario in December 2012

Christmas is a time for sharing with family and friends. Gathering with others we share meals, gifts and merry-making.

One of the highlights of the Christmas season is ChristmasFree Community Chirstmas Dinners in Burlington Ontario Dinner, complete with turkey and all of the fixings.
Sadly, there are many in our community who have no loved ones to share Christmas Dinner with, or perhaps are unable to afford a traditional Christmas dinner.

Many of the churches in Burlington carry out a tradition of serving Christmas dinners in the week before Christmas and some offer a free Christmas dinner on Christmas Day.

If you are alone this Christmas, or are unable to afford a traditional Christmas dinner, come out and share in one of the following Christmas dinners. They are open to all members of the public and all are Free-of-charge.

If you are able to donate money or food to help with any of these dinners, your generosity would be greatly appreciated.

This is such a wonderful thing.  I would like to start a tradition like that here in Southport.

Hi Ginger!

So many people are alone at Christmas and it's wonderful that there are people and organizations that put on dinners for those who are without family or friends, or perhaps can't afford a Christmas dinner.

I hope you have a wonderful holiday season!

It is a great idea for churches to do this Jo. It is also wonderful for families to just invite someone over for Christmas dinner if they do not have family nearby. I know when we first immigrated here, a family from Steve's company invited us to share their Christmas Dinner. It was a great way to feel welcomed.

Jo offering the Free Christmas Dinners in Burlington, Ontario in December 2012 is an awesome way to pay it forward.  My heart aches knowing there are those that are cold and hungry while many of us have more than we need.  Lending a helping hand to others is needed year around.  I hope this event has a huge turn out of donations.

Hi Tom,

so many people are alone at Christmas or can't afford a Christmas dinner, so it's wonderful that there are still churches that help these folks at Christmas.
